Formation story

On September 1, 2009 the dean's office of educational work formed as a structural unit, which is functionally responsible for the educational work at the university.

On February 1, 2011 according to the decision of the University Board, the dean's office of educational work was transformed into the Dean’s office of Youth.

Activity of the Dean’s office is subordinated to the vice-rector for educational and social activities. The dean's office is headed by the dean. Structure was approved at the meeting of the   Management Board.


Tasks

activation of educational work with students;

creation of conditions for the formation of professional and social skills, active citizenship of students, to promote the education of personal qualities of future doctors who are ready for new social and economic conditions to contribute to the development and strengthening of the Motherland.

The university has developed and implemented concept of educational work, including project-based approach to educational work, social and psychological support of the educational process

Functions

University Dean's Office performs the following functions in accordance with the tasks assigned to it:

 plan and activate the educational work with students at the University;

 organize  educational work and solution in the field of youth policy objectives in conjunction with the Student Council, deans of faculties and other structural units of the University;

 coordinate with the Department Dean of educational work and youth policy of the Ministry of Education and Science (hereinafter - MES) and the Internal Policy Office of Akimat of Astana city;

 interact with student organizations of other institutions of higher education;

 monitor the activities of student self-government bodies and management departments and other structural divisions of the University in matters of defending the interests of students, protection of students' rights in the educational and social process;

 analyze the effectiveness of the activities in the educational work and youth policy;

 regulate social activities of students and the formation of moral principles;

 format the students' civic position, preserving and increasing moral, cultural and scientific values ​​in the conditions of modern life, the preservation and revival of the traditions of the University;

 promote the values ​​of physical education and healthy lifestyles;

 inform the students and faculty members through information boards, leaflets, posting information on the University website and other information activities;

 conduct the workshops and seminars for teachers, curators and academic groups, aimed at improving the educational process;

 develop the proposals and recommendations for improving the system of educational work, its financial and human resources, preparation of methodical and local normative documents on the organization of educational work in the Faculty;

 organize educational process, associated with the artistic and creative activities, conducting contests on the faculty;

 organize work for the primary prevention of infectious diseases, drug addiction and HIV infection among students;

 analyze and monitor the educational work carried out in the departments, dissemination of best practices of other faculties and institutions of higher education;

 organize the student participation in university-level activities as well as in events held by the city and regional agencies to work with students;

 assist in the work of the student council of the University, other public organizations, clubs and associations;

 make proposals for the promotion of students for active participation in public life of the University;

 implement the relationship with the faculty of the departments for organization of educational and social activities;

 organize the leisure of students outside the classroom;

 conduct regular monitoring of satisfaction with the quality of food, pricing and service for enrolled students at the University, as well as the checks on accounting and timely reporting staff canteen related to the  nutrition of children - orphans and children left without parental care.


Activity

a comprehensive explanation of the state language policy and ethnic policy, the promotion of inter-ethnic harmony and respect for the culture and traditions of different ethnic groups, preventing inter-ethnic conflict among students;

education of the students immune to destructive religious ideology, understanding of the place of religion's role in society, the prevention of delinquency and crime among young people;

instilling social and political literacy, prevent the spread of the youth destructive political ideas, provide support to the state policy;

formation of a human system of values ​​among students (hard work, professionalism, activity, initiative, obedience to the law, initiative, creativity and competitiveness, economic and social mobility, the desire for self-education and self-realization);

development of university cultural values, the formation of cultural norms and attitudes of the students;

formation of professional-moral culture of students;

creation of conditions for creative self-realization of the individual student;

organization of social support for students (orphans, children from large families, students from low-income families are studying at the University);

the development in the student citizenship, integrity, autonomy, dignity, and sense of personal responsibility in the determination of position in life, making professional decisions;

development of professional competence, pride profession and ability to serve as a personal example, humanism and patriotism on the basis of respect and love for others, to himself personally, relatives, associates, hometown, the village, the Fatherland, the Earth;

the development of respect for the multinational culture of the region and the country, the family and family traditions, society, social and cultural traditions, national culture, statehood and rule of law, state symbols - coat of arms, flag, anthem;

scientific substantiation of existing techniques, search and introduction of new technologies of educational influence on students, the creation of conditions for their implementation;

creation of a system of moral and material incentives for teachers and students are actively involved in the organization of educational work;

organization of mass cultural and sports events, conferences and seminars.
